Coastal Flood Advisory for the Horry County coast this evening, 5–7 PM

🌊 Heads up for the coast this evening: the National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for the Horry County coast β€” North Myrtle Beach included β€” effective from 5 to 7 PM EDT tonight, Wednesday, Oct. 7.Up to a half foot of water is possible in low-lying spots near shorelines and tidal creeks. The causeways to and from the beaches could see minor flooding around this evening’s high tide, and low-lying roads along the Intracoastal Waterway are vulnerable too.The advisory, issued at 9:03 AM EDT this morning, covers both Coastal Horry and Coastal Georgetown counties.Give yourself extra time if you’re heading out this evening, and never drive through water of unknown depth.
