🛒 Another grocery store could be on the way in Leland. The town just got preliminary plans for a shopping center off N.C. 133 near Mallory Creek — anchored by a 20,000-square-foot grocery store, plus a convenience store with gas pumps and two office/retail buildings. It would need a rezoning and a formal site plan before anything moves forward, so nothing’s approved yet. The concept plan is the first step in what could be a lengthy review process with the town’s planning staff and elected officials. If approved, the project would add another grocery option for Leland residents, who have seen rapid growth — and rapid commercial development — in recent years.Source: StarNews, Oct 7.
