Free beach parking could be coming back to Holden Beach! The town board voted to start the process of ending paid parking after the NC Festival by the Sea — with parking free through the holidays until the annual polar plunge in early January. Parking revenue is down about $41,000 from last year, but the town says it budgeted for the change. Would you use the island more this winter if parking were free?
