BRUNSWICK COUNTY HAS TWO OF NORTH CAROLINA’S BEST FALL BEACHES — and Southern Living just said so.
The magazine’s fall list of the state’s best beaches includes Oak Island and Bald Head Island — the two Brunswick County beaches in North Carolina’s top 10. Fall is the locals’ season here: thinner crowds, cooler air, and the same wide, beautiful shoreline.
Oak Island’s beach stretches for miles, perfect for a long walk without the summer crush. Bald Head Island, reachable only by ferry, feels like a step back in time — no cars, just golf carts, bikes, and quiet.
