Belville’s Founders Day Cancelled Today — Not Moving to Oct. 17 Rain Date

☔ Belville’s Founders Day is OFF today. The town announced this morning that the celebration at Belville Riverwalk Park is cancelled due to weather — and the notice says “we will see you in 2027,” so it’s NOT moving to the Oct. 17 rain date.

That’s the second weather-related blow to this party: the town’s 49th birthday, combined this year with America’s 250th, was originally set for June 27 and postponed for extreme heat, then rescheduled for today — 10 AM–3 PM, with live music from Cat-A-Tonic and the Brunswick Big Band, food trucks, kids’ activities, and free Nothing Bundt Cakes birthday cake.

With Isaias’s remnants bringing heavy rain and gusty winds through the area today, the town pulled the plug. If you were headed to the Riverwalk, stay home.
